Tanzania

The people of Tanzania in general are friendly and God-loving. This makes the country a wonderful and safe opportunity for evangelism. Small groups of members from Kensington Woods (KW) travel to Tanzania several times each year to work with local preachers and missionaries. Local Tanzanian church members support these efforts as translators, guides, and drivers.

Tanzanian culture is open to discussions about God and the Bible. This allows endless opportunities for Bible studies making it an ideal place to develop evangelism skills. For many first-time travelers, these trips are a life- and faith-changing experience. In addition, travelers can experience a different culture, enjoy new foods and see spectacular scenery. Tanzania has many national parks that are some of the best in all of Africa for viewing wildlife.

The involvement of Kensington Woods in Tanzania goes back several decades and includes establishing a school of preaching in the Arusha, Tanzania area. All three shepherds have made multiple trips. Currently, KW members have relatives serving as missionaries in the city of Moshi. A trip to Tanzania can fit within the budget of most people. If you are potentially interested in participating in a trip, don’t let cost, security, food or accommodation concerns talk you out of going. If you make a trip, you can be sure that you will be glad you did.
