The Lord gave a command to His disciples at the end of Matthew’s gospel. He told them to go into all the world and preach the gospel, making disciples. There are a lot of places in the world that still need to hear the gospel, and the country of Honduras is one of them. We have been working there for a number of years leading medical missions and campaigns to different native congregations to get the Lord’s name and goodness into that local community. We do this for free with doctors, medicine, and any other subsequent care that we can provide. Our end goal is for the person we meet is give them something greater than the medicine that they’ll take. We want them to become Disciples of Jesus also and make more disciples in their respective community (world). Every year we take a large group from the Kensington Woods Church of Christ along with other Christians throughout the United States as a concentrated effort of service and evangelism. The impact that mission work has made on our congregation is immeasurable and only Heaven will tell that story of the local church that we work with wherever we are doing it in Honduras.
